Please check with your UK school, are your Orals before or after Easter? This will affect whether you should choose the February or Easter holiday programme.

Students can polish up general Spanish language skills including revision of grammar structures and pronunciation and address any linguistic weaknesses.  Tutors are all native speakers who are also professional teachers of Spanish as a foreign language.

In addition CESA wishes to make the language course as relevant as possible to the needs of the students.  We therefore request that each student tells us which topics they need to prepare for their AS & A2 level oral exam.  Wherever possible these topics are incorporated into the oral sessions during the week.  The aim is to develop discussions around the topics and get everyone talking.  Please send in your Topic information (CESA will supply a form) as early as you can.  Information supplied later than 2 weeks beforehand, cannot be included into the programme.

Accommodation
Students are housed with local Spanish hosts. You are welcome to make your own accommodation arrangements, but the majority of the A'level revision course students do choose to stay with hosts. You will be placed in a single room with a hostess, on a half-board basis. Students are only placed in a shared room with another student, if this is booked with a friend.

Travel/Transfers
Transfer: Collection at Madrid airport = € 79.00 per student

CESA will offer detailed advice on the airport bus service and the metro connections from the airport into the centre of Madrid. In past years the majority of students have found that the Madrid public transport service is an easy and cost effective method of getting to their hosts. We generally recommend it for the majority of our students.

Spanish Alevel Revision Course Notes

College Description:
Madrid College One combines an informal atmosphere with a studious environment. The combination of its academic record, central city location and ease of access via Madrid's International airport makes it the perfect location for this special course.

Meals: Breakfast and the evening meals are taken with the hosts. Students make their own lunchtime arrangements. One mid-week dinner to be taken as a meal out with all the students and a member of staff, in a typical Spanish restaurant (inclusive in course fees).

Curfew: The hosts will not provide students with a set curfew. Please note that the Spanish do not retire as early as we do in the UK. It is quite normal for people to go out after their evening meal in Madrid, at around 22.00hrs.

If parents require a particular curfew to be put in place, please let CESA know. We will ensure the hosts are informed. However, it will not be the hosts role to police the students. Any infringement of the curfew set, will be passed to the student's parents, for their information.

Cultural activities: Whilst the activities suggested should take place, it may be necessary to make alterations to the exact activity proposed.

Private study: Students will be asked to complete some homework tasks each night in preparation for the following day's classes. It is important that students complete these tasks in order to take full advantage of the week's programme.

Course places:Please note that this programme became fully booked last Easter. We recommend that students book their course place as early as possible, to avoid disappointment.

If you wish to discuss the programme please call us on 01209 211800 or email us to check course availability.
