Social Activities in Barcelona

The Spanish language scohool in Barcelona organises a varied programme of social activities for  Spanish students. These include welcome cocktails, guided visits and excursions to places of interest in and around Barcelona, films in Spanish, concerts by local musicians, and language exchange evenings at which students can meet and talk with some of our other students who are learning
English, French or German in the school.

Most of these activities are included in the course fee. However, please note that entrance fees and transport costs (where applicable) may not be included. There is also a small fee to help cover the costs of both the Spanish cooking classes and the Salsa dance classes.

The Social Programme in Barcelona is changed every two weeks so that students staying for longer periods will not have to repeat specific activities. All students are given a copy of the Social Programme planned for the following 2-week period when they arrive in Barcelona.

The Spanish language school also organises excursions outside of Barcelona.

A typical 2-week social programme might read as follows:

Week 1
Monday: Orientation tour of the Gothic Quarter
Tuesday: Spanish cooking class
Wednesday: Visit to Gaudí's Sagrada Familia
Thursday: Visit to the Picasso Museum
Friday:  Friday Club
Saturday: Full-day excursion to the Costa Brava, Figueras and Dalí Museum

Week 2
Monday: Salsa dance class
Tuesday: Visit to Barcelona City Museum
Wednesday: Guided tour of the Ribera district
Thursday: Visit to Gaudí´s Parc Güell
Friday: Friday Club
Saturday: Full-day excursion to Montserrat and Sitges

Friday Club

Another good thing about the Spanish language school in Barcelona is the fact that a lot of Spanish people study English and other languages in the school.
On Friday evenings, from 19.00 to 21.00, they organise a Friday Club in the students' bar, with activities designed to help students meet people from the local community and practice their Spanish.
